Restaurant & Lounge

The villa’s third floor is one room with two lives. At breakfast and dinner it is the restaurant; the rest of the day it is where guests sit, read and celebrate.

The kitchen is in the hands of the villa’s own chef, who is in the house every day. Each morning he goes to the Matara market to choose fresh produce and builds the day’s menu from it, drawing on the cuisines and flavours of different countries. On the table are seafood, fish and Sri Lankan dishes, as well as European-style chicken and meat dishes, vegetables and a variety of fresh salads. Everything is cooked here from fresh ingredients, and the menu changes every day.

Breakfast is served from 8:00 to 10:00 and dinner begins at 18:00. Dinner is generous: there are always several dishes on the table at once. We are happy to cater to guests’ wishes and children’s preferences as well. In season, breakfast and dinner are included in the room rate; out of season the room is booked on its own and meals are available at an extra charge.

Between meals, coffee, tea, drinking water and seasonal fruit are there all day at no charge. It is a room for working in the morning, reading in the afternoon and table tennis, a board game or karaoke in the evening — the games and the music are at hand. The floor has a WC of its own, so an entire evening can be spent up here without going back downstairs.
